Account Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. This page explains what happens when you delete your account and how to do it.

⚠️ Important: This Action is Permanent

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be permanently removed from our servers and cannot be recovered.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:

  • Account Information - Your email address, display name, and profile picture
  • Quiz History - All records of completed quizzes and scores
  • Bookmarks - All saved/bookmarked questions
  • Statistics - Your average score, best score, pass rate, and total quiz count
  • Test Date - Your saved citizenship test date
  • Firebase Account - Your authentication credentials

Note About Subscriptions

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel any active subscriptions. You must cancel your subscription separately through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) before deleting your account to avoid future charges.

How to Delete Your Account

Delete via the App (Recommended)

  1. Open the U.S. Citizenship Civics Test app
  2. Tap on the Profile tab (bottom right)
  3. Scroll down and tap "Delete Account"
  4. Read the confirmation message carefully
  5. Tap "Delete" to confirm
  6. Your account and all data will be immediately and permanently deleted

Delete via Email Request

If you cannot access the app or prefer to request deletion via email, you can contact us:

Email Deletion Request

Send an email to am.develooper@gmail.com with:

  • Subject: "Account Deletion Request"
  • The email address associated with your account
  • Confirmation that you want all your data deleted

We will process your request within 48 hours and send confirmation once complete.

What Happens After Deletion

  • You will be immediately signed out of the app
  • You can continue using the app as a guest (without an account)
  • If you create a new account later, it will start fresh with no previous data
  • Any active subscriptions will continue until you cancel them through your app store

Data Retention

After account deletion:

  • All personal data is immediately removed from our active databases
  • Backup systems may retain data for up to 30 days before automatic purging
  • Anonymized, aggregated analytics data (not linked to you) may be retained
